Fantasy Photography Brisbane is an award winning studio situated in beautiful Bulimba, South Brisbane, by Dean and Karen Agar. We have been creating memories and offering an amazing boutique portrait photography experience to men, women, couples and families since 2009 as Dean Agar Photography.
The Fantasy side of Dean Agar Photography has grown so much that we have decided to make a dedicated website just for our Fantasy & Cosplay fans. Our fantasy photography sessions are not just photography sessions, they are a complete experience where we will create, not only beautiful photographs, but amazing memories that will last you for many years to come.

Creating images to inspire!
Experience one of our unique fantasy photography sessions for children 4 years and over and men & women. We provided costumes, props, accessories for most of our styles and have custom designed amazing 3D scenes for the perfect fantasy. We offer Princess experiences for girls aged 5 - 18 years, Steampunk fantasy for males & females aged 10 years to adult. We have pinup for teen, women or couples and a car fantasy experience for ages 7 to adult, as well as sci-fi and cosplay for 4yrs to adult.
Simply select your favourite scene and let us do the rest. Professional hair and makeup is available for teen & women and all costuming and accessories are provided for most of the styles.

The process in 4 easy steps!
It all starts with a phone call.
Step 1 - Discovery phone call
Call us or book a call time for us to call you so that we can get to know each other, answer any questions that you might have, and start to plan your dream fantasy photography experience. We will book your date, discuss outfits, what we have for you at the studio and what you should bring. Simply fill in the form below for us to call you or you can call us.
Step 2 - Choose your fantasy scenes & have fun during your session.
If you have decided to book our hair and makeup artist you will be pampered on arrival for the perfect look to match your fantasy. If you are not hiring our makeup artists, you will arrive with your hair and makeup done (ladies) or hair done (kids & men), ready to shoot with us.
We will go through your chosen fantasy and choose your scenes and decide if you would like to add some classic studio background portraits to your experience.
Your fantasy photography experience could take anywhere between 30 mins and 2 hours depending upon how many images you wish to have and how many costume changes you bring in.
Step 3 - Image viewing - choose your favourites
When we finish your session you will get changed, pack your outfits and get ready to view your images. It will take us around 10 mins to load up your photos to view on our 75" screen. You will choose the ones you love and we can discuss your collection and how you would like to display your photos. Digital files are provided with all prints and albums.
Step 4 - Image mastery
Over the next fortnight Dean will expertly create your fantasy artwork and perfectly edit any studio images that you have added to your collection. Once your photos are finished, we will email you a download link to save your photos and check them off.
If you have chosen an album, prints or wall art you will now let us know which images you wish to print, and we will order your products. When they are finished, we will post or courier them directly to you.

We are full time photographers located in beautiful Bulimba, inner south Brisbane, QLD. We love cycling, walking our fur baby Sammie, & spending time together.
We have been producing beautiful portraits since 2009, and we absolutely love what we do. We feel that we are so lucky to have found each other, and this path in our lives.
Our goal with every session is to craft images that will make you & your family feel AMAZING. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing that massive smile when a client sees their photos for the first time.
